Our Mission

Although the mission of Doulas of Descent is to assist all women during the process of childbirth, our main focus is women within the African American community. The death rate for African American women is at a all time high when it comes to childbirth in the United States! Our goal is to ensure we provide the services necessary to help combat this reality. We strive to help give African American women a voice and to provide the space for a proper and safe delivery.
